The existential speeddate that I created with Nea Landin is now available in English. It was originally commissioned for a “culture night” at Kulturhuset in Stockholm. It has later been played by Riksteatern for their members to get to know each other.
Connection, confession, curiosity
Loosely inspired by Dante’s Divina Commedia, the format invites participants to confess which of the seven deadly sins they most identify with. They form clans with other sinners of similar mortal taste.
A lottery system decides who will meet whom and each encounter brings a new set of questions, some tailored to the chosen sin.
The speed date is played in a shared space, but assisted by a web app that runs on mobile phones of the participants. The first conference to host the new translation will be Campfire in Skövde, November 27th, 2025.
Requirements:
- 12-60 participants
- Play time: 45-60 min
- A room to move around + one moveable chair per participant
- Microphone & sound system
